10 May 2012 - Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response

Stokes Evans has identified several steps to improve our national capability to respond to and recover from a wide-spread biological attack. In the 10 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001 and subsequent antrax letter attacks, billions of dollars have been spent to improve our national ability to protect our population and economy from the effects of a biological attack. In today's budget constrained environment, doing less of the same thing and expecting better results is not an acceptable answer.

We recommend clearly identifying a single federal agency to lead planning and response activities including the development of a biological attack response architecture and performance model. Pre-event communications and strategic risk communications must be improved to increase the likelihood of population compliance with medical and other directives. Complimentary distribution and dispensing modes must be developed and implemented to improve resiliency and leverage private sector capabilities. And finally, planning should be expanded to include contingencies like multi-drug resistance and shelter-in-place.

02 May 2012 - Cyber Security Contract Wins

Stokes Evans provided strategic planning, service development, marketing, and capture support to enable a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business secure their first three federal government prime contracts.

With several years experience providing information security services as a subcontractor, the client recognized the need to establish their own brand presence and prime contracting relationships. Stokes Evans helped to define a growth plan, identify key value added services relevant to target customers, and initiate teaming arrangements to fill capability gaps. Stoke Evans coached the client sales team to develop a sustainable marketing and capture process. Stokes Evans also helped develop solution architectures, win themes, proposal elements, and other tools to secure three prime contracts in under one year. These wins and the new processes and skills transferred to the client form a foundation for future growth inthe cyber security market.

24 April 2012 - DHS Medical Countermeasures Study

Stokes Evans was selected by the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate to study the impact of Medical Countermeasure (MCM) dispensing effectiveness on recovery from biological attacks. We were charged with modeling and analyzing an aerosolized anthrax attack on several cities and under multiple scenarios. Stoke Evans developed an end to end model of the MCM preparedness and response process, reviewed several hundred publications, interviewed industry and government experts, and completed a systems analysis. Over 100 process gaps were identified and 25 recommendations were assessed.

13 Dec 2011 - Biotech Commercialization

Working closely with the CEO and Chief Scientist, Stokes Evans helped guide a stalled microbial solutions company towards revenue growth and much needed funding. Stokes Evans assessed multiple agricultural, environmental, and consumer markets, evaluated several manaufacturing and sales models, and guided the development of a consistent brand message. Stokes Evans helped to position the company as a green alternative to harmful chemicals in the golf course maintenance and specialty agriculture markers, establish sales and distribution channels, and secure growth capital from institutional and private investors.

15 Jan 2011 - Global Product Launch Planning

Stokes Evan was selected by one of the largest consumer electronics companies in the world to help plan for the launch of a new product category into an entirely new market segment. Stokes Evans assessed markets, competition, distribution structures, on-line channels, and pricing to support entry into the United States, European, and Australian markets.
